Sean Williams

I’m an abstract impressionist inspired by modern day and past colorist. I try to use color as a compositional element rather than an emotional or decorative element in my works all whilst subscribing to color theory principles. Each of my pieces starts with a controlled color palette, as I strive to be mindful about my proportions of each color used.

Vibrant hues of secondary colors including lime green, turquoise, and magenta are common in my paintings. My work are also marked by loose brushstrokes in layers and dynamic compositions. Each piece evokes meditative tranquility with its precise and delicate execution.

When I’m not making art, I dabble in carpentry and hope to begin building furniture
