Laura Lynn Reiss
Laura Reiss makes woven wall hangings and teaches watercolor painting lessons. She’s been teaching students of all ages for a year and a half and has been working with lots of different subjects, tailoring each lesson to fit the student. Lately, she’s been weaving to create beautiful wall hangings and funky fiber art. Because she primarily uses vintage, thrifted, and re-purposed yarn, her weavings are all made with a variety of fibers and include unique colors and textures. Re-using left behind, found, and forgotten materials is a very important part of her process. She prides herself in making beautiful wall hangings from once discarded materials. Usually, she picks a handful of colors and just starts weaving until the pattern becomes clear.
