Jim O’Brien
Jim O’Brien, publishing as James Escher, lives and writes in East Central Illinois, where he is organizer of a weekly poetry workshop, the Champaign-Urbana Poetry Group. His poems have most recently appeared in Pilcrow & Dagger, Pegasus, The Tishman Review, and Bear River Review. He also produces street poetry, Poems on Tap, in which he brings a typewriter and creates poems on the spot for people. This process is very different from poems written for publication in that it is direct from the artist to the reader with no filters or revision and comes with the occasional, though authenticating, typo.
