Casey Lowry

Casey Lowry is an artist, mother, and housewife living in Urbana.  Her work has been seen in publication and in several juried exhibitions throughout the country.

My work is inspired by my life and the natural world that surrounds me.  The pieces are simply my personal examination of whatever the subject may be.  The representations are manipulated not only to emphasize line and fractal shape, but also to allow the materials to determine the composition of the piece.  Fitting together the different elements, subject and medium, is my response to the puzzle of how everything is a small part of the same whole.
