I create works of art that have great meaning to me and allows me to share my heart with the world. To be vulnerable in a world such as ours is daunting, yet provocative at the same time. I want to create the extraordinary out of what others deem ordinary. As a black woman, artist, poet, dancer and mother, I want to educate, empower, and encourage everyone to think outside themselves and the boxes we create. To tell a story that sparks memories and drives others to create from their own visions and stories. I do this by using recycled materials to weave together stories and emotions.
