The annex gallery will feature installation, video, photography, mixed media drawings, and ceramic sculpture by Peg Shaw, Jo Birdwell, and Ann Coddington.
Friday + Saturday, 12-9pm; artist reception, Friday, 6-9pm
The Taproom will host 2 artists: acrylic paintings from Bree Sykes and photography (Photographic Glimpses of the Midwestern Cultural Landscape) from Cynthia Voelkl, as well as an immersive sound installation from Jake Metz with special guest performers.
This will be a 14-speaker spatial sound experience, the first in a new series curated by Jake Metz (F_a_c_e__V_a_l_u_e) featuring Ryan Groff of Elsinore, twoleggedzoo (John Mcnally), and Eli Fieldsteel (Experimental Music Studios director at UIUC).
The audience will be fully immersed in an array of 14 sound sources amplifying Ryan’s vocal effects & loops, while twoleggedzoo will utilize Envelop for Ableton 10 to push groovy rhythms all around the taproom. In between performances you’ll be treated to spatial soundscapes from Eli Fieldsteel and DJ Quad playing all your favorite surround-sound hits from the 60s through today!
Friday + Saturday, 5pm-midnight; Sunday, 5-10pm
